France national team manager Hervé Renard has this afternoon announced his preliminary 26-player squad for the World Cup, which kicks off at the end of next month in Australia and New Zealand.
The squad notably features the return of former captain Amandine Henry, who recently left Lyon to cross the pond and join Angel City, while notable absentees include Paris Saint-Germain pair Kheira Hamraoui and Sandy Baltimore.
Training will begin on June 20, with three players to be cut from the squad before July 10. Les Bleues will take on Brazil, Panama, and Jamaica in the group stages, with their first match coming against the latter team on July 23.
