Amar Dedic’s week took a mixed turn. The Benfica right-back eased injury fears after coming off for Bosnia, but also faces suspension on his return to club duty.

The player said in a post that it was not an injury, only cramps. He added that the team had completed the first part of their task, would celebrate briefly, then refocus on a home final, stressing the most important part is still to come.

On 27 March, a two-match suspension was confirmed following his red card at Arouca.

He has already sat out the match against Vitória de Guimarães and the No 17 will also miss Casa Pia when club football resumes.

This season for Benfica, Dedic has made 37 appearances, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, and one each in the Taça da Liga and Supertaça. Across 3,097 minutes he has one goal and three assists. He is valued at 15 million euros.
