Amar Dedic is expected to be left out of Benfica’s squad to face Alverca, with the right-back likely to be rested as a precaution.
Record reports that his situation is being handled carefully after signs of heavy fatigue in recent weeks, and there is no indication of an injury.
The plan is purely preventative, with Mourinho aiming to keep the full-back fresh for the meetings with Real Madrid.
Having missed the trip to Tondela, Dedic now looks set to sit out against Alverca too, with Daniel Banjaqui expected to start again under the 63-year-old.
This season Dedic, valued at 15 million euros, has made 32 appearances for Benfica, including 15 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 12 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça.
Across 2,728 minutes he has recorded one goal and three assists.
