The Trotters overcame Bradford City in the semi-finals, defeating them 1-0 home and away, while the Hatters overcame Stevenage Borough 3-0 on aggregate.

Dave Challinor's side represents a much sterner test for Bolton, considering they finished the season in third combined Challinor's admirable play-off pedigree.

With that in mind, it is integral that Steven Schumacher gets his starting line-up spot on, with Amario Cozier-Duberry set for a starring role at Wembley Stadium.

Who makes Bolton Wanderers' starting lineup to face Stockport County?

Bolton arrives in London with an encouraging bill of health, so assuming nothing happens between now and kick-off, they should be able to field an extremely strong XI.

Schumacher named an unchanged starting line-up in the semi-final second leg against Bradford, and he is expected to name the same side at the home of football.

Goalkeeper: Jack Bonham

The Trottters' number one, Jack Bonham, will almost certainly start between the sticks, having played every single minute for the club since arriving on loan from Stoke City in January.

Defence: Jordi Osei-Tutu, Eoin Toal, Chris Forino and George Johnston

In front of him, Schumacher is set to deploy a back four, consisting of Jordi Osei-Tutu, Eoin Toal, Chris Forino and George Johnston, who did a superb job in keeping back-to-back clean sheets in the semi-finals.

Midfield: Ethan Erhahon, Josh Sheehan, Amario Cozier-Duberry, Ruben Rodrigues, Ibrahim Cissoko

Ethan Erahon and Josh Sheehan, who could be the difference-maker at Wembley, will likely make up a midfield two, with Cozier-Duberry, Ruben Rodrigues and Ibrahim Cissoko as the attacking threats behind focal point Mason Burstow.

Striker: Mason Burstow

Burstow has led the line in Bolton's last four outings, and while he has only found the net once in his last 12, he is likely to be given the nod ahead of Sam Dalby.

Dalby is also in contention, having come on as a substitute in both clashes against Bradford and will likely be used as an impact player in the second half.

What are Bolton's chances against Stockport?

If the Trotters are to have any chance against the Hatters, then they will need to produce their best performance of the season and negate their opponent's key men.

There was precious little to separate the four play-off sides, with just two points between Stockport in third and Stevenage in sixth, and it will surely be fine margins between the two teams on Saturday.

If Bolton can keep Ollie Norwood quiet in the middle of the park, then they have got a chance, while they must handle Kyle Wootton, who ended a drought of nine games without a goal to score the winner against Stevenage on home soil.

While Schumacher will have a plan to combat Stockport's threats, he must also focus on his own talents, with Sheehan and Cozier-Duberry in particular, capable of big-game moments.

When the teams met earlier this campaign, Challinor's men triumphed 2-0 on the opening day before they played out a 2-2 draw at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in early April.
