There may have been no early goals in the Champions League semi-final first leg between Atlético de Madrid and Arsenal, but there is an atmosphere to rival any.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, and certainly not Mikel Arteta, the Metropolitano has been a cauldron of noise all night and long before kick-off.
As the players descended onto the pitch, the home fans unloaded streamers from all corners of the stadium to create quite the sight.
