FIFA has confirmed the format and dates for the second Copa de Campeonas, to be staged in Miami from 27 to 31 January 2027, with venues to be confirmed. América Femenil, qualified as Concacaf W Champions Cup holders, will enter at the semi-final stage.
In the inaugural edition, Arsenal were crowned champions after a 3-2 win over Corinthians in the final. Gotham FC were Concacaf’s representatives, losing in the semi-finals before taking third place.
All entrants will arrive as champions of their confederations. The field includes América Femenil, Barcelona, Naegohyang Women’s FC of North Korea and Auckland United of New Zealand, with the Copa Libertadores and African champions to be confirmed in October and November respectively.
The opening phase comprises two rounds. First, Naegohyang will face Auckland United at a venue to be confirmed, and the winners will then meet the yet-to-be-determined African champions for a place in Miami.
In Miami, América Femenil will play the side that emerges from that path in the first semi-final. Barcelona will face the Copa Libertadores winners in the other tie, with the final and a third-place match to follow at the same location.
