Club América are making a late push to land Luis Chávez before the transfer window shuts. The Mexico midfielder has been strongly linked throughout this market.
According to Americayya.net, negotiations have been difficult because Dynamo Moscow do not want to sell. They are only open to the release clause, a fee América are unwilling to meet.
The pursuit intensified after the arrival of head coach Guillermo Almada, who knows the midfielder well.
With a little over a day left in the window, América's hierarchy are making a renewed effort to complete the deal and then finalise the squad for Apertura 2026.
What remains is for Dynamo to soften their stance and enter talks, which would allow Chávez to sign. The player is keen to join, and time pressure in the final hours could yet unblock the move.
