América-MEX are weighing a permanent move for Raphael Veiga after his season-long loan in early 2026, but the midfielder wants to return to Palmeiras at the end of the campaign.
Palmeiras have not been informed of a final decision and are awaiting a response by the first half of December, as stipulated in the contract.
Exercising the option would cost América-MEX about US$ 6.5 million, equivalent to R$ 33 million at current rates.
Since arriving, Veiga has become a regular starter, making 31 appearances with five goals and eight assists. He was signed at the request of André Jardine, who left the club in June.
“I was at Palmeiras for a long time, almost 10 years. I had lived a lot there, and in a way it became repetitive. When the year turned, I wanted something new, a new motivation. I wanted that challenge,” he told Podpah.
“I love Palmeiras, I will go back there one day. Even if it is to play only one match. I will return.”
