Scouts at Club América are rumoured to be keeping their eyes on a 26-year-old midfielder from the Paraguayan Primera División.
Dubbed a ‘Paraguayan jewel,’ Pedro del Valle of Guaireña FC might be making a move to Miguel Herrera’s squad to aid the midfield and along the wing.
The player recently spoke with ESPN’s César Caballero about the rumour and hinted that talks with the Mexican club are taking place.
“I have not directly talked with the people of Club América, but the people who represent me have informed me that there are conversations and now I just have to be calm, be focused and wait to see what happens with this issue.”
He then went on to mention that playing for América would be a move to look forward to.
“For me, it would be a dream come true to get to Club América in Mexico, it is one of the largest in the continent and many Paraguayans have gone there.”
Contrary to the player’s quotes, Caballero’s report continues to say América have not confirmed any interest in the player and say they “prefer to wait until Guard1anes 2020 ends to discuss the issue of reinforcements.”
