France manager Didier Deschamps has informed Ayyoub Bouaddi that he intends to rely on him in the future according to reports in France.
The 18 year old Lille midfielder who is also eligible for Morocco has emerged as one of the most coveted young players in Europe.
French outlet Foot Mercato states that Morocco appeared closer to convincing Bouaddi months ago with signals from the player’s camp described as “clearly positive” towards the Atlas Lions.
Morocco coach Walid Regragui is believed to have spoken to the player as part of the approach.
However Deschamps has now made strategic move of his own reassuring Bouaddi that France see him as part of their post 2026 World Cup plans.
A senior call up in upcoming international windows cannot be ruled out.
Bouaddi has become key figure at Lille this season making 19 appearance under coach Bruno Genesio.
Bouaddi is now attracting interest from virtually every major European club, including:
Premier League: Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool
LOSC Lille are open to selling the player for around €60 million and club president Olivier Létang is already reported to be fielding offers.
With both federations pushing hard and senior call up looming, a decision may arrive sooner than expected.
