Queens Park Rangers will have been disappointed with the result and performance away at Birmingham City last Friday.
Auston Trusty’s early goal in the clash gave the home side a big advantage almost from the off, though, with QPR unable to recover, going on to concede again in the 29th minute courtesy of Emmanuel Longelo.
Nevertheless, there are reasons to remain positive for the R’s. Michael Beale’s side remain third in the Championship at present, and have the opportunity to put Friday’s result behind them when they face Norwich City away from home.
The Canaries themselves sit fifth in the league standings, but have been enduring mixed form, with their victory over Stoke City on Saturday ending a run of six consecutive matches without a win.
With that said, below, here at FLW, we’ve attempted to predict the starting XI boss Michael Beale could deploy for the clash, which can be seen below.
Lining up in a familiar formation and dealing with plenty of injuries, we think Beale could select something similar to the above for Wednesday’s clash.
This selection would see Seny Dieng remain in-between the sticks, with Kenneth Paal and Ethan Laird at left and right back respectively.
With Jake Clarke-Salter out injured, Beale could opt for Rob Dickie as his replacement, who lines up alongside Leon Balogun in our XI.
There are changes in midfield, too, with Stefan Johansen also ruled out of the Norwich clash.

In his place, in comes Luke Amos, who lines up alongside Sam Field in the centre of the park.
The three in behind the striker have the capability to be quite fluid, but we’ve elected with Tim Iroegbunam off the left, and Ilias Chair through the centre, whilst on the right, Sinclair Armstrong could get the nod to start in place of Tyler Roberts, who is confirmed as out of action for the next few weeks.
Up front, it’s likely that five-goal striker Lyndon Dykes will be tasked with leading the line for Michael Beale’s side.
Both Chris Willock and Jimmy Dunne could feature as part of the squad tomorrow night, but we think it could be too soon for a start for the pair.
