Leeds United welcome back captain Ethan Ampadu for their final home game of the Premier League season against Brighton, but fellow defender Pascal Struijk misses out.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke makes one change from the Tottenham match, with Sebastiaan Bornauw replacing Struijk in defence, while Dan James again starts, seemingly at wing back.

Farke had said on Friday that Ampadu was a major doubt due to illness and had not trained. He also described Struijk as a big doubt after a hip problem that forced him off against Tottenham. Noah Okafor, Gabi Gudmundsson, Jayden Bogle and Ilia Gruev remain sidelined, with Gruev out for the season, and Facundo Buonanotte is ineligible to face his parent side.

Struijk had been a doubt for Monday’s trip to Tottenham, started, then departed midway through the second half. He is not in today’s squad. A young centre-back is named on the bench for the first time, while Rhys Chadwick and Jayden Lienou are among the substitutes.

High-flying Brighton arrive having won seven of their last 10 games. Boss Fabian Hurzeler makes one enforced change, Joel Veltman replaces the injured Kaoru Mitoma. That leaves former Leeds star Georginio Rutter on the bench on his return to Elland Road.

Leeds United XI: Darlow, James, Rodon, Bijol, Bornauw, Justin, Ampadu, Tanaka, Stach, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Perri, Byram, Lienou, Cresswell, Longstaff, Chadwick, Gnonto, Piroe, Nmecha.
