TP Mazembe has ushered in a new era on the touchline by appointing Slimane Raho as head coach of the first team. The 51-year-old Algerian tactician succeeds Senegal’s Lamine Mamadou Ndiaye and has signed on until the end of the current season, as officially announced by the club.

This appointment marks Raho’s return to Kamalondo, having previously served at the club during the 2021-2022 campaign as an assistant alongside Franck Dumas. He is a familiar face, highly regarded within the club, and seen as the right profile to spark the sporting revival everyone is hoping for.

In its official statement, TP Mazembe highlighted the new coach’s human and technical qualities, as well as his ability to bring out the best in the squad. Currently second in the Congolese championship behind Saint-Éloi Lupopo, the club is now aiming for stability and efficiency as the season progresses.
