“I believe I will renew my contract with Brazil for four years. It is a new job, and I am really impressed with it,” said Ancelotti, speaking to Movistar.
The former Real Madrid coach took charge in May last year on a deal running to the end of the 2026 tournament in July. He is the highest-paid national-team coach, on about 10 million euros a year.
Brazil are fifth in FIFA’s rankings and are top seeds in Group C. They face Morocco, Scotland and Haiti in the group stage, opening against Morocco on 13 June.
Before the finals, Brazil play two friendlies, facing France on 26 March at Gillete Stadium in Boston, then Croatia on 31 March at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
