Anderlecht Extend Besnik Hasi’s Contract Indefinitely | OneFootball

HLN reports that Anderlecht have confirmed that head coach Besnik Hasi will remain at the helm for the foreseeable future. The Kosovan tactician is set to continue leading the team, with one or possibly two new assistant coaches expected to join his staff.

Besnik Hasi took charge at Anderlecht following the departure of David Hubert, just ahead of the Champions’ Play-offs. Although his side fell short in the Belgian Cup final against Club Brugge, Hasi managed to guide the team through the play-offs, collecting ten points from a possible thirty.

Anderlecht suffered two defeats each to Union SG, Club Brugge, and Racing Genk. However, they secured maximum points against AA Gent and took four out of six against Antwerp. These results were enough to secure a fourth-place finish in the standings, earning the club a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

As well as having a breadth of experience in Belgium, Hasi has also coached teams in Saudi Arabia, Greece and Poland. Anderlecht’s preparation for the new season will begin on June 23rd.
