According to HLN, Romeo Amane of Rapid Wien is a player Anderlecht are hoping to sign in the coming days. The 23-year-old is expected to cost Anderlecht around €6m, a substantial fee for Anderlecht at this moment in time. Alongside Spanish midfielder Santi Garcia, Amane is a player that Anderlecht are hoping will bring some defensive and offensive improvements to the sides midfield. The former Häcken man still has a contract with Rapid Wien until 2029, which explains why Anderlecht have had to pay a decent fee for his signature.

Amane made his debut for Swedish side Häcken back in 2021, having his breakout campaign in 2022. Amane spent four seasons with Häcken before leaving to join Rapid midway through the 2024/2025 season. Amane played 99 games for Häcken, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists. Since joining Rapid, Amane has played 69 games and scored twice, with five assists provided in that time. He has already played seven games for Rapid this season.

Amane would join an Anderlecht side that has not had the greatest of starts under head coach Vitor Bruno. While they have done well in Europe, qualifying for the Europa League, Anderlecht have won one and lost two of their opening three games in the Belgian Pro League.
