Anderlecht set to sign Lyon’s Adryelson on loan with option to buy | OneFootball

Adryelson (26) is set to leave Olympique Lyonnais this winter, according to a report from L’Équipe. The centre-back who joined the French side from Botafogo last January will likely be sent on loan to RSC Anderlecht for the rest of the season. The Belgian club will have an option to make this deal permanent for €5 million.

Adryeslon has failed to settle at Lyon making only four appearances in total and was sent on a six-month loan back to Botafogo at the start of this campaign. There was some reported interest from Trabzonspor and an agreement was thought to be close. However, it now looks as if his future (at least in the short term) will be in Belgium.

Adryelson frees up space

Lyon have been looking to free up space in the current transfer window due to their ongoing financial difficulties. The club have been sanctioned with a transfer ban and are facing provisional relegation to Ligue 2 unless they can convince the DNCG (French football’s financial watchdog) that the club are in a healthier situation.
