HLN are reporting that Anderlecht’s summer signing Adriano Bertaccini is set for a return from injury. The former Sint Truiden has been out for over a month now but has returned to training for the Mauves. Ironically, his return could come this weekend against his former club. However, the pitch at Sint Truiden is notoriously avoided by many players when making their returns from injury. Anderlecht may well want to keep Bertaccini back for another week rather than risk him getting injured again. However, the striker has good memories of playing at the Stayen and would fancy his chances of grabbing a goal there.
Bertaccini only spent a season and a half with Sint Truiden after his move from RFC Liege. He rarely featured during the second half of the 2023/2024 campaign before exploding to life during the 2024/2025 season. The striker was the sides top scorer with an impressive 21 goals and earned himself a move to Anderlecht. So far, he has scored one goal in three Pro League games for the side, with two assists in qualification for the Conference League. Unfortunately for Anderlecht, they failed to qualify for the European competition.
