Anderson Daronco will referee Flamengo’s Copa do Brasil opener against Vitória at the Maracanã on Wednesday, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the CBF has appointed assistants Leila Naiara Moreira da Cruz, from the Federal District, and Michael Stanislau of Rio Grande do Sul. Lucas Coelho Santos from Rio de Janeiro will be fourth official. The VAR team comprises Thiago Peixoto and Vitor Carmona of São Paulo, plus Adriano Barros from Maranhão and Fernando Rodrigues from Pará.
Although historically not popular with Flamengo supporters, Daronco has overseen two of their matches in 2026, both won with three goals scored.
The first came at Engenhão, a 3-0 win over Botafogo, in which he sent off Barboza for heavy fouls on the Flamengo attack. Samuel Lino, Léo Pereira and Pedro scored.
More recently at the Maracanã against Santos, Flamengo came from behind to win 3-1, with goals from Pedro, Jorginho and Lucas Paquetá. A Léo Ortiz goal was controversially ruled out, and coach Cuca complained about the penalty awarded to Arrascaeta, which Jorginho converted.
Flamengo v Vitória is the first leg of the fifth phase. It will be shown on subscription channel SporTV and on pay-per-view service Premiere. The return is scheduled for 14 May at Barradão.
