Anderson responds to huge Tuchel praise after impressing again for England | OneFootball

Elliot Anderson says he is delighted with the faith England boss Thomas Tuchel has shown in him.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder has established himself as a key player under Tuchel for the Three Lions, having only made his debut for the senior side in September.

He started again in the 2-0 win over Serbia, before which Tuchel labelled Anderson as “one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.”

“It’s a big statement,” Anderson said in response. 

“But it shows his confidence in me and I’m happy that I’m impressing him.”

On his chances of making the World Cup next summer, Anderson continued: “It’s a long way away, to be fair. I’m just focusing on, every time I get out there and four the shirt on, I’m doing well and can carry this on.

“It’s a long way away but if that was to happen I’d be buzzing.

“There’s so much talent across the country and you’ve got be performing every game.”
