Nacional-AM began reshaping their squad after a 2-0 win over Guaporé closed the Copa Verde first phase. The club confirmed the departures of striker Hernane Brocador, 40, and centre-back Anderson Salles, 38.

Hernane ends a two-season spell with the Leão da Vila Municipal. In 2026 he was part of the Amazonense title win that ended the club’s long drought.

Salles, signed late last year and formerly of Santos and Vasco, reached the end of his deal on Thursday, 30 April, without agreement on a renewal. He made six appearances, two in the Copa Verde, two in the Amazonense, one in the Copa do Brasil and one in Série D.

He said he would go home to discuss his next steps with family and decide calmly. He accepted he wanted to have played more and felt he also contributed from the sidelines, and said he leaves as a supporter who will keep backing the club in the Brasileiro and Copa Verde.

A Santos academy graduate, Anderson Aparecido Salles turned professional in 2008. His clubs include Juventus-SP, Bragantino and Ituano, with whom he won the 2014 Paulista, and Vasco, where he lifted the 2015 Carioca. He described a sense of duty done and valued the organisation at Nacional and the growth of football in Amazonas.

Nacional are into the Copa Verde quarter-finals and face Porto Velho next week. Before that they play São Raimundo-RR on Sunday at 17:00 Brasília time at the Arena da Amazônia.
