Andoni Iraola was unveiled as Liverpool's new head coach on Monday and said the squad still needs more additions despite an active start to the summer window.
According to L'Équipe, he wants recruitment to continue even after Jérémy Jacquet and Victor Munoz arrived. He said the club are working hard to finalise more deals and that he is helping the process.
Liverpool have turned the page after Arne Slot's tenure ended at the close of his second season. Iraola joins from Bournemouth after three campaigns in which his attacking approach delivered finishes of sixth in 2025-2026, ninth in 2024-2025 and 12th in 2023-2024.
He moved to temper expectations, saying the situation is complicated at several levels, with senior players leaving and others injured. Before training has even begun, Liverpool must already manage long-term absences for Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni.
Ekitike, out for several months with an Achilles injury, remains in Iraola's plans for the project. Those available will open their Premier League season away to Newcastle on 23 August.
