Corinthians midfielder André has returned to the treatment room with a right ankle ligament injury, missing the 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino.

According to Meu Timao, he and fellow midfielder Breno Bidon were late withdrawals before Thursday's Campeonato Brasileiro match at Neo Química Arena, which drew 27,000. The outlet adds head coach Dorival Júnior said it is hard to set a timeframe, though he hopes the pair could be ready in about one week to 10 days.

The No 49 suffered a left ankle sprain in October last year and was sidelined for four weeks, missing fixtures against Vitória, Grêmio, Red Bull Bragantino and Ceará. He returned in the derby with São Paulo on 20 November.

At the time, he had made only four senior appearances and had been due to play a fifth against Atlético-MG.

Corinthians visit São Bernardo at Estádio Primeiro de Maio on Sunday to complete the first phase of the Campeonato Paulista, and need a win to reach the knockouts without relying on others. Kick-off is at 20:30.
