André Carrillo has been named in Peru’s March squad and could miss Corinthians duty in the Brasileirão. The Peruvian federation announced a 25-player list on Monday, with the midfielder available for two friendlies in Europe.
Peru face Senegal on Saturday 29 March at 13:00 Brasília time at the Stade de France in Paris.
They then meet Honduras on 31 March at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque in Leganés, Spain.
With the CBF yet to release the post-window league schedule, it is unclear if Carrillo will be available to face Fluminense on a base date of 1 April. If Corinthians play a day after Peru’s second game, the number 19 could miss the Maracanã trip.
In the national set-up the 34-year-old will link up with former Corinthians boss Mano Menezes. The coach took charge earlier this year after Peru finished ninth in South American qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, the penultimate spot, eight points behind Bolivia who reached the play-off. He now begins a new cycle aimed at the 2028 Copa América and the 2030 World Cup.
Carrillo had been out of the squad for about a year and returned to regular call-ups after joining Corinthians in September 2024. He has 104 caps and 12 goals for Peru and has played at the Copa América and the World Cup.
Before the international break, Corinthians visit Chapecoense on Thursday 19 in round seven of the league, a 21:30 kick-off at the Arena Condá.
