After seven rounds of the Clausura 2026, André Jardine has yet to repeat a line-up due to injuries and mid-season arrivals, but his preferred América XI is taking shape, with doubts in midfield and possibly at right-back.

According to Americayya.net, Luis Ángel Malagón is the first-choice goalkeeper and Rodolfo Cota is the back-up. It would not be a surprise if Cota started in the Liguilla when Malagón is unavailable, with Tapia then acting as the second keeper.

At centre-back, supporters push for Ramón Juárez, but the staff favour Sebastián Cáceres alongside Israel Reyes. That pairing has looked solid.

On the right, Kevin Álvarez had been the starter, yet form has not returned, so Aarón Mejía replaced him against Puebla and delivered a fault-free display that could keep him in. On the left, Cristian Borja is not in doubt.

Midfield remains the biggest question. Rodrigo Dourado and Jonathan dos Santos begin as the two deeper options, although Vinicius Lima has impressed and could start ahead of dos Santos in some games. Raphael Veiga is set to operate as the attacking midfielder.

Out wide, Brian Rodríguez on the left and Alejandro Zendejas on the right support Henry Martín through the middle. That is the coaching staff’s ideal XI, provided the full squad is available.
