André Mosqueira do Amaral says Benfica’s sale of audiovisual rights to NOS for 2026/27 and 2027/28 marks a very important step for the Portuguese audiovisual market.

According to Glorioso 1904, the agreement is worth more than 104 million euros. He calls it a positive signal for every club and is confident others will strike similar deals while rights remain individually marketed until 2028.

The deal has already been debated on television, including analysis from Pedro Sousa.

Benfica had been part of the Liga Centralização management but suspended that participation on 9 July 2025. The decision was communicated to LPFP president Reinaldo Teixeira in a letter.

It followed the club’s stance after Luís Godinho’s refereeing in the Taça de Portugal final on 25 May last year, which Sporting won 3-1 after extra time.
