Corinthians are set to stick with the first-leg XI for Wednesday’s Conmebol Libertadores quarter-final against Estudiantes at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time.

"If we had returned at 1-0 to them it would have been very difficult and we would have had to attack more. Now we must manage the game, know when to attack and when to defend, I believe Estudiantes think the same, it will be very balanced, but we will go in search of qualification," he told Corinthians TV.

The first leg in La Plata finished 1-1.

Yuri Alberto remains unavailable as he treats a partial rupture of scar tissue in the healing of a right thigh muscle injury sustained on 30 July.

Midfielder André is back among the substitutes after a right thigh problem diagnosed on 9 August, and he trained without restrictions on Tuesday at CT Joaquim Grava.

He will start on the bench and could play 20 to 30 minutes if required. With Raniele serving the second match of a two-game Conmebol ban, Fernando Diniz cannot call on him.

The likely XI is Hugo Souza in goal, a back four of Matheuzinho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique and Matheus Bidu, a midfield of Allan, André Carrillo, Breno Bidon and Rodrigo Garro, with Kaio César and Memphis Depay up front.

Tuesday’s session featured a tactical video, gym work and a warm-up on the pitch, followed by a 10 v 10 tactical exercise, with set pieces and penalties also rehearsed.
