André Silva and Diogo Costa shine in the opening round

André Silva is back in Invicta after nine years playing abroad, and he played a decisive role in FC Porto’s start to the 2026/27 Liga Portugal season. The forward opened the scoring against FC Alverca, won the penalty converted by Gabri Veiga for the final 2-0, and was ultimately named the round’s MVP.

Diogo Costa also stood out by finishing the opening round without conceding a goal. The FC Porto goalkeeper was awarded the Clean Sheet prize.
