André Silva lifted the Supertaça with FC Porto on his return and is preparing to resume league action.
According to O Jogo, his first appearance of this second spell came in the Supertaça, nine years and three months after what proved to be his farewell outing against Moreirense. He is very likely the FC Porto player with the longest gap between spells.
He is preparing to feature in the Campeonato Nacional, aiming to add the league to his honours list, a trophy he has yet to win.
That return comes with Alverca the opponents, a side he has never faced.
Silva will hope to start on the right foot in this new phase back at the club.
