André Villas-Boas has set his sights on FC Porto reaching 200,000 members and said a renumbering is coming soon that could rebalance the figures. He spoke on Saturday at the 25th anniversary of the Casa do FC Porto de Chaves.

According to O Jogo, he noted membership has been growing about 20% per year since 2024, with the club now close to 190,000 members across Portugal and abroad.

He said Porto’s immediate aim is to hit 200,000 as quickly as possible, even before launching fresh recruitment campaigns. He added that the club want to consolidate their associative strength.

Villas-Boas signalled that a renumbering will arrive soon, which he believes could restore balance to the membership data and give a more accurate picture of totals.

He stressed that this process does not change the target, which is to reach 200,000 swiftly, then move towards 250,000.
