Palmeiras have diagnosed a left shoulder trauma for Andreas Pereira after he was injured early in the 1-0 win over Santos in Barueri on Wednesday. According to Globo.com, the midfielder is expected to be sidelined for about one month.
The incident followed a foul by Igor Vinícius on the left flank. Pereira fell, landed on his shoulder and received immediate treatment, then was replaced by Larson.
The injury is not considered serious and the club have opted for conservative treatment, with no surgery required. It adds to a growing list of early-season fitness concerns.
On social media, the number eight said he was pleased with the victory, would focus on recovery and return stronger, and thanked supporters for messages to him and his family. It was only his second match of 2026.
Abel Ferreira believes the squad should reach their best physical level from February, provided injuries do not occur.
Currently sidelined are Jefté, preserved after muscle oedema, Felipe Anderson with a sprain to his left ankle, Figueiredo and Lucas Evangelista in physical transition, Facundo Torres with a left thigh injury, and Paulinho after surgery on his right leg.
Jefté is closest to returning after training with the group for much of the session on Thursday morning at the Academia de Futebol. Felipe Anderson has begun the transition from physical to technical work, joining Evangelista and Figueiredo.
