TSG Hoffenheim confirmed after a board meeting that Andreas Schicker will remain as managing director.
Sky Germany reports that a shareholders' meeting scheduled for today in Sinsheim did not take place after an urgent application by benefactor Dietmar Hopp to the Heidelberg Regional Court.
The decision to keep Schicker came as a surprise to many in Germany, following weekend rumours that he could resign after an alleged data protection breach.
Christoph Henssler, who had opposed Schicker, has resigned as interim club chairman. The move averted major chaos at Hoffenheim.
In his parting message, Henssler said recent sporting progress reflected the committed work of staff across the club, and that TSG and its members have always been his priority. He added that he had focused on advancing the organisation structurally and professionally, and wished Hoffenheim all the best for the future.
