According to Glorioso 1904, Andreas Schjelderup is increasingly close to joining Parma on loan, with talks having progressed substantially. The Serie A side are near to an agreement to take Benfica’s number 21 on a temporary deal.
Parma showed early interest, which smoothed discussions, while Benfica seek a loan solution given the Norwegian’s reduced minutes.
Benfica only want a temporary move to increase his playing time and aid development. The winger also favours a departure, eyeing the 2026 World Cup and a call-up.
Even so, the deal is not expected to be completed in the coming days. José Mourinho, short of wide options, still plans to use the Norway international at least until the Clássico.
This season Schjelderup, valued at 14 million euros, has made 21 appearances, 11 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, six in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 969 minutes he has scored two goals and supplied three assists.
