According to Diario Do Peixe, forward Andrey has ended his São Caetano loan after the club’s Copa Paulista exit and is expected to rejoin Santos to train separately until his contract expires in December.

He was taken for the tournament’s play-in, but São Caetano lost 12-0 on aggregate to Primavera. His registration returned on Santos’s BID on Friday 11, and he was given time off.

Out of Santos’s plans, Andrey joined Confiança-SE at the start of the year, scoring two in 20 games. He stopped playing in June and was released to explore an overseas move that did not advance.

For Confiança, he made four Série C outings and four in the Copa do Nordeste, scored once in two Copa do Brasil matches and once in 10 Sergipano games.

After leaving Confiança-SE he trained apart at CT Rei Pelé with others outside the plans, including Zé Rafael. Interest followed and he started both matches for São Caetano.

Aged 24 and 1.76 metres tall, Andrey has been at Santos since 2017 after spells with Sumaré AC and Ponte Preta. He was a winger in the academy, later also featuring at right-back in the 2022 Copinha runners-up side.

Since ageing out of the youth set-up he has had loans at Ituano, XV de Piracicaba, Juventus da Mooca and Inter de Limeira, and later impressed in the Brasileiro de Aspirantes before moves to Confiança-SE and São Caetano.
