Ange Postecoglou appointed Al-Nassr head coach for two seasons

Ange Postecoglou has been appointed Al-Nassr head coach for two seasons, the Riyadh club announced on Friday on their social media. The Greek-Australian, 60, will take charge from next season and will work with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Postecoglou has been out of work since his dismissal by Nottingham Forrest in October 2025.

His résumé includes Yokohama Marinos, Celtic Glasgow and Tottenham, where he won the Europa League in 2025 against Manchester United. He also led Australia at international level. Al-Nassr will be the tenth club of his career.

He replaces Jorge Jesus, who won the Saudi league last season. The title was sealed on the final day after a Cristiano Ronaldo brace.

Despite that success, the Portuguese coach decided not to continue at Al-Nassr.
