Angel Gomes has left Olympique de Marseille to join Wolverhampton on loan until the end of the season, six months after arriving.
The move is a paid loan worth €one million, with Wolves holding an option to buy set at €seven million.
The Manchester United academy graduate joined from Lille on a free last summer but never established himself in Roberto De Zerbi’s starting XI.
With Quinten Timber and Ethan Nwaneri arriving, Marseille’s midfield became even more crowded and Gomes appeared out of the picture. Since December, he has featured only three times.
The switch marks his return to England after six years split between Ligue 1 and the Portuguese top flight.
