Angelino, after almost an entire season out of action, is ready to start again.
In his first year in Rome, Gian Piero Gasperini couldn’t rely on the quality of the Spanish winger, who had completed his previous tenure with De Rossi, Juric, and Ranieri by racking up 51 appearances, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Gasp was forced to move Wesley to the left flank to make up for his absence.
Tsimikas has never been a regular starter and hasn’t been convincing.
Angelino is ready to relaunch himself: he’ll report to the summer retreat with the rest of the team, hoping to once again show his best form.
Despite Angelino’s recovery, Roma is monitoring the market for left-backs.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, the Spanish full-back could become an additional asset for Gasperini: there’s confidence in him at Trigoria, and the player is eager to return to prominence.
The 1997-born full-back has a significant opportunity, even though his future remains unclear.
The Grugliasco-born coach is ready to give him a chance in a season when Roma will also be competing in the Champions League, a competition Angelino knows well, given his 29 appearances, 3 goals, and 9 assists.
