Angers near safety as Prosper Peter back, Belkhdim and Ekomié absent for Nice test

Prosper Peter returns to the Angers squad to face an ailing Nice, as the club approach the run-in with less pressure.

Last weekend's 1-0 victory at La Beaujoire on matchday 25 has left them virtually safe. L'Équipe reports that they can now look to enjoy the upcoming fixtures.

With the objective almost achieved, they want to keep moving forward, push their limits and finish strongly without easing off.

Peter signed a new contract through 2028 this week and still has minor thigh issues. The 18-year-old is not certain to start.

Yassin Belkhdim is suspended, while Jacques Ekomié misses out after taking a blow to his quadriceps in training on Wednesday.
