Anísio Cabral enjoyed a memorable Benfica debut against Estrela da Amadora, scoring 62 seconds after coming on with his first touch. The 17-year-old forward joined a select group to net on their first senior appearance.

According to Glorioso 1904, he became the 106th in Benfica history to do so, after Ivanovic had already achieved the feat earlier this season. It was also the first time in 50 years that a 17-year-old scored for the senior side, following the late Fernando Chalana.

Cabral was teed up by Banjaqui on a night the right-back will also remember. Captain Otamendi urged both youngsters towards the stand at full time to receive an ovation.

Banjaqui had previously made a brief first-team bow, playing two minutes in the 2-0 win over Farense in the Taça de Portugal.

The following day, on social media, Cabral described the debut and goal at Estádio da Luz as one of the best moments of his life. He thanked family, coaches, team-mates and friends, and said he would keep working every day, aiming for much more. He also expressed his faith and support for Benfica.
