Juventus have been hit by an injury crisis so early in the season, and the situation is deepening as Khephren Thuram is set to undergo surgery, just like Kenan Yildiz.
Thuram was the first Juventus player to report for pre-season training this summer, but the midfielder was already carrying an injury and has been managing the problem since the final weeks of last season.
He is an important player for the Bianconeri and is one of the stars who quickly adapted to the demands of their manager at the Allianz Stadium. Juventus have significant faith in him, but he has hardly contributed to their matches this season, as they had hoped he would recover naturally from the injury he brought into the new campaign.
The Bianconeri have now suffered another fitness setback, with the latest report suggesting that Thuram will require surgery.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the midfielder will now be required to undergo an operation after his recovery failed to progress as quickly as Juventus had wanted.
The Bianconeri have grown frustrated with the slow pace of his recovery and want him to return to action sooner while also remaining fit for a longer period. Surgery could provide the solution they believe is necessary after his prolonged struggle with the injury.
Thuram has been unable to make the contribution Juventus expected from him at the beginning of the campaign. His absence represents another blow for a team dealing with several fitness concerns so early in the season.

The midfielder is now expected to undergo surgery and join Yildiz as another Bianconeri player who has had to go under the knife, despite the season only having started.
For Juventus, the priority will now be ensuring Thuram receives the treatment required to return to full fitness. His importance to the team means they will want to avoid further complications once he is back in action.
The timing of the injury is particularly frustrating for the Bianconeri, who had hoped Thuram would recover without requiring an operation. Instead, his continued absence and slow recovery have forced the club to reconsider their approach.
With Thuram now tipped to undergo surgery, Juventus must manage another significant fitness issue while continuing their campaign. The club will hope that the operation allows him to recover properly and eventually return to the squad in good condition.
