Ante Erceg leaves Fortuna Sittard and returns to Croatia

Fortuna Sittard announced today that their veteran Croatian forward Ante Erceg has left Milaanstraat for a new adventure back in his home country. Signing permanently for HNK Gorica, the attacker has moved after just six months with the Fortunezen.

The 35-year-old Erceg joined Fortuna last summer after previous adventures in Denmark, Turkey and Croatia – where he last played for Osijek and Istra 1961.

In his short stint in the Netherlands, Erceg played sixteen matches in the yellow-green while mainly coming on as a substitute. Unfortunately, he did not score in those matches – but provided great experience for Danny Buijs’ side.

He joins an HNK Gorica team that are at the bottom of the HNL standings in 10th.
