Monterrey have disciplined Anthony Martial over his behaviour during their Liga MX match against Chivas Guadalajara at the weekend.

According to TUDN, the Frenchman was instructed to work separately this week as a disciplinary measure, having remained on the bench throughout.

The 30-year-old is said to have complained when head coach Nicolas Sanchez introduced 20-year-old Joaquin Moxica in the 74th minute, leaving Martial unused.

The former Lyon, Monaco and Manchester United striker joined Monterrey in September and had only just returned from a shoulder injury that sidelined him from mid-January to mid-February.

This season he has played 21 matches for the Mexican club, scoring one goal and providing three assists. He has 30 caps and two goals for France.
