Antoine Leautey has left Reims and rejoined Amiens for the rest of the season after a difficult few months. He had only arrived in the summer on a three-year deal with an option for a further year.
Head coach Karel Geraerts said the winger did not feel comfortable or happy in Reims, adding it was more about the city and his family environment than the club or staff, according to Ici Champagne-Ardenne.
Leautey had been out of the squad for several weeks, partly because of injury. The staff held regular talks with him, but he remained unhappy.
The 29-year-old departs after 11 appearances and one goal. He returns to the club he left in the summer, having played for Amiens from 2022 to 2025.
He trained with Amiens on Thursday morning and is eligible for Friday's trip to Pau.
