Antoine Semenyo set for Manchester City medical

Antoine Semenyo is set to have a medical on Thursday ahead of completing his move to Manchester City.

The Bournemouth forward has been in excellent form this season, scoring nine and assisting three goals in 20 Premier League games.

The 25-year-old has a £65-million release clause in his contract that the Citizens will trigger to complete the signing with Sky Sports reporting that Semenyo will undergo his medical after one final game for Bournemouth.

Andoni Iraola's side will host Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday before the deal is completed.

Semenyo is unlikely to be City's only dip into the market this month, a defensive reinforcement expected to be brought in especially after Josko Gvardiol suffered a long-term injury in the game against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth will need to bring in more attacking players especially with Justin Kluivert set to undergo surgery.
