Antonio Conte voiced his disappointment at Romelu Lukaku’s conduct during a brief stop at Napoli’s Castel Volturno base earlier in the week.

Speaking on Friday after Napoli’s 4-0 Serie A win over Cremonese, Conte addressed the episode.

"I am very disappointed with Romelu," Conte said. "He did not even come to say hello. No, I did not speak to him. He was there, right next to my office. I know a member of the board spoke to him, but he did not come and knock on my door. Not a word, not a message, nothing at all." He told DAZN.

After a season disrupted by physical problems, Lukaku has in recent weeks chosen to prioritise Belgium and the World Cup, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July, ahead of Napoli.

Conte is also on his way out.
