Paris Saint-Germain has turned its attention to Napoli’s standout player, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, as a top choice to fill the gap left by Kylian Mbappé.

Recently, there’s been growing buzz about PSG’s interest in bringing him on board. In the 2023-24 season, Kvaratskhelia played in 45 games, scoring 11 goals and making nine assists. Moreover, his efforts were vital to Napoli’s 2023 Serie A title win.

After a disappointing Napoli campaign, Kvaratskhelia might be eager to move on and start a new chapter in Paris, where he can participate in UEFA Champions League matches and contend regularly for trophies.

Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports (h/t The Evening Standard) that plans to extend Kvaratskhelia’s contract beyond 2027 are underway. Should these talks fail, coach Antonio Conte will still refuse to entertain any offers for a sale.

Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid have shown interest in him previously, but it’s unlikely he will leave this summer. In a recent interview, former Georgian footballer Georgi Kinkladze told WinWin Sports his desire to see Kvaratskhelia at Real Madrid.

“I would love to see Kvara at Real Madrid, he can play in a team like that; Ancelotti is one of the best coaches,” Kinkladze said. “He showed it. He is a good friend of the boys. He uses the players’ skills in the right way, putting them in the right positions, with the right tactics.”
