According to La Colina De Nervion, Antonio Cordón is to return to Olympiacos as sporting director after his Sevilla exit. The move reconnects the Greek club with a recent figure from Nervión and places him alongside José Luis Mendilibar.

Cordón previously worked in Piraeus in 2023-24, taking part in a rebuild as the club won the 2023-24 Conference League, then departing in July 2024. He now comes back to a familiar environment with greater responsibility.

The ties between clubs have grown. Mendilibar, who guided Sevilla to their most recent UEFA Europa League, currently leads Olympiacos.
