Former Manchester United player Antony continues to love life in Spain.
After a disappointing two and a half years at Old Trafford, Antony was sent on loan to Real Betis in Spain in January 2025.
The Brazilian has completely turned his career around and made himself a fan favourite in Andalusia.
He scored nine goals and made five assists for Betis as they secured Europa League football via the league.
Antony also helped lead them to the final of the Conference League where they were finally beaten by Chelsea.
After a summer of training away from the first team group at Carrington, Antony finally secured a permanent move to Real Betis at the end of August.
The Brazil international has only gone from strength-to-strength as he continues to take the league by storm.
Betis are currently fifth in La Liga table and only one point behind third.
The winger grabbed a brace in their 2-2 draw with Villarreal at the weekend.
He scored an outstanding first goal with a confident first time finish from range but his biggest contribution was yet to come.
Antony stole the show in the 94th minute when he squeezed in an equaliser with a trademark cut in and left footed shot that slid into the bottom corner to silence the Estadio de la Cerámica.
Antony’s time at United was hardly impressive but the Brazilian has already eclipsed his number of goal contributions in less than eight months of playing time in Spain.
It took him two and a half seasons to score 12 goals and provide five assists at Old Trafford.
He already has 18 goal contributions for Betis in the calendar year of 2025 with 12 goals and six assists.
Whilst Antony is clearly delighted to be at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, his surge in form won’t go unnoticed by Europe’s bigger fish.
With a sizeable sell-on fee included in the deal that took him to Betis, United will certainly be hoping he keeps up his fine form.
