Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Pierre Dwomoh is set to join Toronto FC in the MLS. The Belgian midfielder will leave Antwerp and sign a four year deal with the Canadian side, earning the Great Old around €1m with potential bonuses. This will be Dwomoh’s seventh club at the age of 20 as he searches for some stability. Once tipped to be the next big thing in Belgium, the young midfielder needs to find a home for a few seasons to really push on.

Last season he showed glimpses of the talent he so clearly has while on loan at RWDM. In 33 games for the side he scored two goals and was a rare bright spark in an otherwise disappointing season for the Brussels based club. He returned to Antwerp this summer but there was a strong possibility that he would not remain with the side for the 2024/2025 season.

Prior to joining Antwerp he came through the youth academy at Genk, leaving in 2021. He has since had loan spells with Braga and Oostende before the most recent spell with RWDM.

Toronto FC are currently eighth in the Eastern Conference of the MLS.
