Apparently, what is being called a ‘trusted source on X’ is reporting that a possible Harry Kane to Chelsea move in on the cards.
Whilst it seems very unrealistic to me, I guess being in this game of writing about Chelsea for so long now, you learn to never write anything off.
I know Kane has actually had links to Chelsea before and I do remember that the owners of Chelsea have been keen to try and bring him in but nothing has ever been feasible to try to do so.
The Chelsea project is heavily based around signing young players who they can sell on for a decent fee if they need to, should they not make it at the club. They want young players before they become stars and become too expensive. So any move for Kane would not fit the remit there.
And also, the source, is it really ‘trusted’? I’m not so sure about that!

Caught Offside have written that according to a trusted source on X, Enzo Maresca believes Kane could be the transformative figure Chelsea need to re-establish themselves among England’s elite, both domestically and in Europe.
Well, when you click on it, it goes to a report by Indykaila News, who says:
‘Enzo Maresca’s dream signing for Chelsea is Harry Kane from Bayern Munich according to club sources. Kane is a proven goal-scorer, a leader on the pitch, and his experience could be the difference maker in Chelsea’s quest for the Premier League and Champions League titles. Enzo knows that bringing in Harry Kane would not only elevate the squad but also send a message to the league that Chelsea means business. Convincing the board won’t be easy. Kane’s age, his hefty wages, and the length of his contract are all hurdles. But when you consider the impact he could have, it’s worth the investment. A player of his caliber doesn’t come around often. If Chelsea want to compete at the highest level, they need to take bold steps. Enzo believes Harry Kane could be that step.’
With all due respect, I don’t think you can call this source ‘a trusted source’ so we will ignore this one for now!
